Black Van emerges from a summer hiatus and infiltrates Monkey Town this Saturday, October 13th to present its latest crusher 'Watch The Feedback' from Nashville-based Oliver Dodd, due out November 27th. Five tracks of electro house laced with 90's rave aurally delivered iron fist velvet glove and guaranteed to do damage. Oliver continues to move crowds and rock dance floors with heavy-hitter DJs Tommie Sunshine, MSTRKRFT, and Justice all currently playing his recent tracks. Joining Dodd is Black Van label owner Devin Dirt who brings us his first New York performance since being back from a summer long West Coast tour. He'll be previewing tracks from the highly anticipated "Violent Tendencies" EP due out next year. Hosting the night is the illustrious Machine Punk resident Supervixen. Here's your chance to be a part of the video for "Watch The Feedback" which will be filmed throughout the night beginning at midnight. If you've never been to a Black Van/Machine Punk party, you're in for something gritty.

The first in a monthly series of mixes from the "end all and be all" of music online - Pitchfork. Uggg honestly if this weren't written up by David Day (with a great breakdown of each track) and featured my fave DJs- Optimo - there is no way I would be talking up Pitch4k. They get waaaay too much press but alas such is the ways of the interweb. Hating aside check out this bananas mix from some of the top selectors in the game! Oh yeah and the mix is an Mp3 but it is served up as a Zipped file.

It’s always a good thing when I get a mix from the sublime Blastique, his mixes have given current breaks DJ’s a run for their money. Maybe its the infusion between the electro grind and durty fat kicks, or that tracks are accurately mixed in key, or maybe because he’s got a tracklist to die for.
