Munk (Gomma Records) BiS Mix (MP3)

I'm lovin' the Gomma camp for their uncanny knack of grabbing tracks that at once are totally forward and modern sounding but also have a certain permenance that makes them sound like an old classic. In this Beats in Space mix the Munk boys throw down a future classic set of sneaky white labels and outright great selections. Wow after a long drought of none too many fresh mixes this is like a downpour during a forest fire. Thanks goes out to Tim Sweeney for hosting such an insanely great show!

An electronica set inspired by too many hours playing Jet Set Radio and JSRF, it is divided into three unofficial segments: Part 1 (00:00 - 28:00) is Shibuya-cho, part 2 (28:00 - 55:45) is Kogane-cho, which would make part 3 (55:45 - 1:31:20) Benten-cho. Part 1 is sunnier, part 2 is sunset, part 3 is neon-nighttime, you dig? Hope so.
