Owners of Homegrown – COUNTERSTRIKE, also known as Animal Chin and 500 Mills, have been active drum ‘n bass DJ’s/producers/promoters since the mid nineties. They have promoted hundreds of drum ‘n bass events between them, some as early as 1995. Collectively producing since 1998, they’ve had over 40 12″ vinyl releases on various labels such as Rob Playford’s Moving Shadow and Dieselboy’s Human. Algorythm Recordings, their own label, was launched in 2000 and include releases from artists such as Current Value, Limewax, SPL, T.Z.A, The Panacea and Donny. In 2009 the lanched an additional label, Counterstrike Recordings. Apart from their busy production schedule they still find the time to regularly perform in Europe and the USA. 2009 saw them DJ in 17 countries.
