URL MONRO "Parlaya" pt 1 (MP3)

Boom. NEW!!!! URL MONRO live from The Nest in Hackney E8. All-over styles including exclusive re-mixes. Tracks from Panoptikum, Stephen Marley, SMD, Blaqqstar, Bole 2 Harlem, Full Pupp, Subway, Natural Rhythm, Kenny Dope, Radioclit, MIA, Joakim, Movado & Busy Signal, et al. The Pearl comes correct here in one take. You can tell it's live 'cause it is, dunny. This is one of those improvised sets where you can hear all the lovely imperfections. No wheel-ups, no chat, just pan-geographic hip-shaking bassbin business. A DJ beating some records. URL MONRO in the building people. Summer on blast, my ninjas. Tuck in and enjoy. - Source Site:http://bodymusik.blogspot.com

URL MONRO "Bounce.Haus" (mastered) (MP3)

Mastered version of "Bounce.Haus" from deep in the crates of SF/London's own URL MONRO. Cult classic status. Had a lot of requests for a re-up on this one. Set starts off in a Detroit/Berlin lovelock around 126 bpm and ends up somewhere else. From Robert Hood's minimal grind ('96) into the Dancehall via Berlin and back to Baltimore, Jamaica, and Atlanta. Or something like that. Throw in some old darkside, second-wave Detroit techno anthems. Then peep all the many and splendid electronic labels from present-day Berlin i.e. Shitkatapult, ~Scape, Meteosound, et al. Then take it back to the Dancehall, boost the bpm. A little Vybz. A little Ms. Stephens. Follow with a healthy splash of the Ghostly/Spectral sound, then dub yourself silly with bruvs like Fenin and the Rhythm and Sound crew. Even Los Hermanos Latinos get the nod here. SF Mission stylee. Ok ok, add a bit of current 'heat' a la Young Dro/Curtis Vodka, and you should be good to go. Exclusive. Two more weeks. Expect surprises people. - Source Site:http://bodymusik.blogspot.com

REDHANDZ "schools of old" (MP3)

All this dubious chat bout "new rave" and the like (what garbage), how bout something on the classic rave tip? Here's a set from DJ Redhandz circa 2000-2001 Berlin, and most the tracks on here are older than that by quite a bit. Plenty of Detroit second-wave, German darkside tracks, minimal, bleep, et al. Clocks in at over 50 minutes. Something futuristic even now about this strain of, dare I say it, TECHNO music. Live and direct in one take. See what you think. Leave a comment at bodymusik.blogspot.com . - Source Site:http://bodymusik.blogspot.com
