I have put tracks from this hypnotic genre in some of my past mixes but this is the first time on a full length format. If you’re familiar with the genre expect speaker pounding bass and head nodding rhythms for the entire duration. I began the mix with one of the genre’s most popular artist, King Tubby. This mix was suppose to be posted up a few weeks ago but with the holidays and the crazy schedule that comes attached with it ultimately delayed me from sharing the mix. This particular project was unique in the way that i was supplied the tracks and i was limited in using only these tracks to create a smooth sounding blend of music. With different BPM's and musical styles that these artists brought to the table a was only left with my creativity to mold everything together in a manner that would sound good for the 50 minute run time.
