Stanton Warriors - Vol 3 promo mix (MP3)

Dunno about you - but the first Stanton Session mix was pretty much one of the best mixes ever. It kinda came out of the musical ether in 2001 and reinstated my faith in breaks. Now fast fwd to 2008 and aside from the good (but not great) Stanton Sessions v2 we have not heard from those mixing maestros. Not sure if v3 is gonna be like the first one but this promo mix certain bodes well! Check it out - crank it up and brock out! - Source Site:http://www.stantonwarriors.com/

Disco of Doom - Samauri FM show (MP3)

A bass heavy mix from the latest addition to the Aquasky camp - Disco of Doom (Tom Real & The Rogue Elemen). With their newest tracks like The Click and Loud & Clear getting a bunch of play around the breaks DJ circuit the Disco of Doom project looks to be a force to be reckoned with. - Source Site:http://www.aquasky.co.uk

The Bodysnatchers - We Do it For the Hood 2008 (MP3)

Newsflash: Breakbeat still exists! Yes you callous bastard the sound that was complete destroyed by rave has been licking it's wounds quietly. Getting more and more pissed off about being homogenized in the early 2000s. But with the bassline, dubstep sounds heating up - Breakbeat's ears perked up and were like "oh shit I can do THAT too!". And that brings us here where the BodySnatchers throw down a mighty set of breaks synthesized with wobbly basslines and filthy crunk samples. The Body Snatchers have a new album coming out late June 08 on Aquasky's label Passenger. Keep an eye out... - Source Site:http://www.thebodysnatchers.co.uk/

Dj Neoteric - Gone til November (MP3)

Dj Neoteric serves up a steamy hit parade of club killing cuts that is sure to raise your booty temp. At first glance of the tracklist it looks like your typical "hey I just dropped $300 at Turntable Lab!" mix. But OH NO do not be so quick to sleep on Neoteric! This dude comes at you with bomb-ass mixing, well thought out transitions and while the tracknames & artists are familiar they are anything but typical. Around half way through keep an ear out for the A-trak - Stevie Wonder remix (OMFG!). Oh yeah and if you are feelin the mix - you can buy it on CD for $7 USD (*approx 0.45¢ CDN) just hit the Source Site for more info. - Source Site:http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=2977366&blogID=320574528

Aquasky - 5 minutes Mini-Mix (MP3)

Aquasky originally aired this mix on Radio 1's Annie Mac show which features DJs mixing up a 5 minute mix. Up until this mix the record had been at 80 tracks stuffed into the 5 minutes. But the aquasky boys pretty much destroyed the record with 153 tracks crammed into a 5 minute mix! The gaunlet has been throw down. Will anyone top the 153 number? - Source Site:http://www.aquasky.co.uk

Breaks are getting a bum rap these days. Dj forums are ablaze with Hate for breaks! Yeeesh! No respect. In some cases the canned "nubreaks" mixes are hate-worthy. But then you can listen to the bass-bin masters, Aquasky, and all of that bullshit falls off. Check out the source site for the Aquasky boys newest website, a BIG improvement over their last site. And listen in to what is moving the floor for them in this storming breaks set. - Source Site:http://aquasky.co.uk/

With a new album "Breakupdown" out on Chocolate Industries, Ghislain P. is treating us to a quick head-knock of bass, beats and more. Bon chance trainspotting this shit!
Aaron Spectre - Live in London (MP3)

Breakcore Prince, Aaron Spectre takes London apart with this eminently listenable breakcore mix. None of the typical ear wax loosening breakcore crescendos. Just a constantly evolving hip-hop, ragga, dnb, breaks stew. Also do check out the Source Site on this one, top notch non-site holding page. Oh yeah and one more thing the whole mix is worth listening to if only for the breakcore Bad Brains mashup at the end. I almost gave myself a black-eye moshing out to that shit. - Source Site:http://spannered.org
