Favela Clash - Cassiano (Nossa) (HTML→MP3)

Gotta admit I took my time cracking this mix open. I've been overwhelmed with a ton of mediocre Baile Funk mixes lately and they are all starting to sound the same. Within the genre there are a few stand out mixes (Diplo, Sujinho, Marlboro) that are floating around. But there are also HUNDREDS of lackluster baile funk mixes with the same 12 songs! Well let me take full blame - MY BAD! Cassiano (partner in Nossa with Sujinho) brings the fun back to Baile Funk with this mix made up of Brazillian flavors mixed up with some new dancefloor heat. Def. recommended (even if it is a damn zShare link!) - Source Site:http://www.nossadesign.com/

Junior Sanchez - Big Shot Guest Mix (MP3)

First of all - get to know Big Shot! Whew some awesome writing/music/etc going on over there! But almost as importantly - check out this mix from Junior Sanchez. All over the map from the get go (from Apotheosis to van Helden and back to Black Sheep!) with lots of electro niceness blent into the mix. This dude is one of the top DJs in NYC and finding his mixes online is a bit of a rarity. Kudos to Big Shot for sharing! - Source Site:http://newsflash.bigshotmag.com/?p=1036

A bass heavy mix from the latest addition to the Aquasky camp - Disco of Doom (Tom Real & The Rogue Elemen). With their newest tracks like The Click and Loud & Clear getting a bunch of play around the breaks DJ circuit the Disco of Doom project looks to be a force to be reckoned with. - Source Site:http://www.aquasky.co.uk

Diplo vs. SantoGold - Top Ranking (HTML→MP3)

This is kinda like - Piracy funds Terrorism volume 2. Rather than MIA (who is no longer workin' Diplo's microphone) this time out SantoGold hops on board. If you really dig it you can buy a CD version (check the source site link). Tons of styles and oodles of yet to be released Santo remixes crop up in this banging summertime mixtape. - Source Site:http://www.turntablelab.com/cds/0/0/50398.html

Texture DJs - The Loft mix #33 (MP3)

Just get ready to boogie... a little nugget of hip wiggling electro - frisco - dancefloor grease from the Texture Djs. Who are the Texture Djs? Well I'm not really sure but they've been at it for over 2 yrs and have accrued 32 previous mixes worthy of a click-n-listen. I've had this mix open for the past week and whenever I was about to close the player I would start it up again and then be sucked in until that dope fidgit-style Beastie Boys remix at the end. Word to the Texture crew! - Source Site:http://texturedjs.blogspot.com/2008/06/texturedjs-033-loft.html

Nick Vidal - House Your Soul Sydney (MP3)

Ahh house music! The perfect soundtrack to a blissful summer of sunkissed parties. This mix comes to us from down under - where it is actually winter - but that is beside the point. Nonetheless this comes to us from Nick Vidal - one of the residents at Sydney's Soulful House Experience party. And it is a sweet and smooth cocktail of current vocal house gems alongside some classic basslines layered in the mix that'll tease your memory core. - Source Site:http://www.shesydney.com/nick.html

Girl Talk Doesn't Understand Ecommerce (MP3)

Ummm while I love all of the unique methods artists are employing to sell their music (aka biting Trent Reznor's moves). I gotta mention that GirlTalks latest album sales mechanism is a bit flawed. 1. goto the site 2. fill in the donation fields with something more than 5.00 and click 3. click what type of file you want Mp3 of FLAC + click Paypal inside the US 4. On the final page you can disregard the "CLICK TO INITIATE PAYMENT" link and Just click download album as indiv files or seamless mix and the files download! Voila you just got that shit for free!

NOTE to GirlTalk's web team - think about offering the download link AFTER people pay?!?! - Source Site:http://74.124.198.47/illegal-art.net/__girl__talk___feed__the__anima.ls___/

The Fo Show - Math & Music Edition (MP3)

The Twin Cities based High School for Recording Arts is for kids who have been kicked out of school or are living on the streets to learn their academics while motivating them thru their interest in music. Within the school kids hit academic milestones in order to earn recording studio time. Recently the HSRA math class put together a Math & Music edition for the school radio show - with tracks that relied on their trig class for material. Keep an ear out for two of the stand out tracks Nuni G -"A Story of SOHCAHTOA" & Rubi P's "Amplifrequinshift". - Source Site:http://minnesota.hsra.org/

A 30 min peek into the crates of The Joker. One of the UK heavyweight bassline thumpers in the dubstep/rnb scene. This one was put together for Skream's radio show and has been causing a stir in the chat rooms online since it originally played on air. While the lack of a direct link kinda sucks - it is worth the downloading for some STORMING bassline madness to keep your head tight. - Source Site:http://drop.io/JokerMix

The Bodysnatchers - We Do it For the Hood 2008 (MP3)

Newsflash: Breakbeat still exists! Yes you callous bastard the sound that was complete destroyed by rave has been licking it's wounds quietly. Getting more and more pissed off about being homogenized in the early 2000s. But with the bassline, dubstep sounds heating up - Breakbeat's ears perked up and were like "oh shit I can do THAT too!". And that brings us here where the BodySnatchers throw down a mighty set of breaks synthesized with wobbly basslines and filthy crunk samples. The Body Snatchers have a new album coming out late June 08 on Aquasky's label Passenger. Keep an eye out... - Source Site:http://www.thebodysnatchers.co.uk/

Woohoo! The sun is shining on Detroit since the recent DEMF went off to such acclaim! No major complaints - just stinky shirtless midwestern dudes offered a minor wrinkle to an otherwise perfect festival. And hailing from Tha D - DJ Dex is part of the Underground Resistance crew. And Dex shows up to the party with a trunk full of dope techno cuts that normally can only be heard around Detroit.
