Black Dominoes New DJ Mix: Black Dominoes and the Light Touch (HTML→MP3)

BLACK DOMINOES AND THE LIGHT TOUCH

It's like the old Hollertronix mixtapes on steroids.
Most 'Internet DJ' mixes sound like the same song being played 10 times in a row...This guy really brings depth and variety to his mixes without losing focus.

This mix isn't about the newest most exclusive club banger tracks that you'll forget about 6 months from now. It's not a bunch of played-out standards either. The tracklist challenges the listener without taking too many turns or confusing anyone.

Remember when DJing was more than having Serato and a couple hours to download 'hot tracks?'

Watch out for DJ Black Dominoes in 2008.
His Vampire Weekend remix got NPR and BBC radio play amongst other places, and this mix is very promising. - Source Site:www.zshare.net

K-Salaam & Beatnick - NY is Burning Street-tape (HTML→MP3)

Yo man you want a hit of this shit? Some finely ground up dancehall leaf sprinkled over some sticky-icky hip-hop. Wow this mix totally reminds me of those 90s NYC hiphop tapes that sample all of the classics jam and mix n blend em together with some new shit - giving the whole tape a historical classic feel. K-Salaam and Beatnick have a new record dropping this summer (you wont forget that thanks to the everpresent voice drops) with some serious heavy hitters rocking the mic (Mos Def, Sizzla, Damian Marley, Collie Budz and others). Link is to Sharebee so you choose your fave fileshare site. - Source Site:http://myspace.com/ksalaammusic

Taliesin - BassBinShit (MP3)

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE! - thud thud thud! - Whoomp Whoomp Whoomp! B-A-S-S . . . . . . . . . . . . . It is pretty hard to get across the thunderous bowel-juggling power of this extra thick bassbin cleansing mix with the written word. New New Yorker Taliesin brings some serious low end infused remixes and orig cuts to the party and let it all flow. (* Scope the extra nice remix of Orig Nuttah!) - Source Site:http://myspace.com/umbralnights

Protokoll - No Men Mixtape (MP3)

Boston bred - San Diego based Protokoll had a stand out track ('Moving Forward') on the recent Scion/I heart comix remix CD. With their bauhaus inspired mood rock combined with a dancefloor friendly beat selection these boys look to be on the way up! They recently put this mixtape together which doesn't feature their own music but certainly serves as a good barometer of their own musical tastes (from Lisa Lisa & the Cult Jam to Throbbing Gristle). A great mix of party jams, mashups and more. - Source Site:http://www.myspace.com/protokoll

Dj Reset - Winter 2007 Tokyo Mix (MP3)

What is Dj Reset's problem? Hasn't he heard that mash-ups are over? I mean get with the times dude... pitchfork said they were over back around the Grey Album. But WAIT A MINUTE! This mix is fucking hot! How can I still be a card carrying Blog-bot yet still shake my ass to mash-ups? Oh no I am so conflicted! Is Romeo Void cool again or is it retro? Egads a Led Zep remix that doesn't suck!?! It might just be easiest to hate on everything - trouble is this mix is so chocked full of hot-ass remixes that Ive never heard it is gonna be tough to hate it all. - Source Site:http://www.resetmusic.com/

URL MONRO "Parlaya" pt 1 (MP3)

Boom. NEW!!!! URL MONRO live from The Nest in Hackney E8. All-over styles including exclusive re-mixes. Tracks from Panoptikum, Stephen Marley, SMD, Blaqqstar, Bole 2 Harlem, Full Pupp, Subway, Natural Rhythm, Kenny Dope, Radioclit, MIA, Joakim, Movado & Busy Signal, et al. The Pearl comes correct here in one take. You can tell it's live 'cause it is, dunny. This is one of those improvised sets where you can hear all the lovely imperfections. No wheel-ups, no chat, just pan-geographic hip-shaking bassbin business. A DJ beating some records. URL MONRO in the building people. Summer on blast, my ninjas. Tuck in and enjoy. - Source Site:http://bodymusik.blogspot.com

ABL:Radio - Transcendent Hullabaloo - Mixed by Dekker (MP3)

While ABL:Radio has been working with Dekker for a while bringing our cadre of DJs to the Skylab party at Sputnik Bar every Thursday, he has been far too busy promoting to draw a mix together of his own-- until now that is. For his sophomore effort on our lovely podcast, he makes a sharp departure from dub and techno and goes straight down an enticing path of electro house, kinetic remixes, and recognizable hits. If you find the results appealing, then come on down to Skylab, we're there almost every Thursday. Drinks are reasonable, bar is chill, and the patrons are mostly enlightened. Enjoy!
