Ben moved back to the UK a couple of years ago after becoming one of the Mother City’s famous Stamina Massiv crew. At one stage the Stamina Massiv was one of the biggest collectives of DJs playing in the City Bowl area, where many a Saturday morning you would see the crew coming out of Marvel, Zula, Joburg, Orchard Bank and others. Strongly influenced by “EBM“ he started his first project with a friend in 1991 with releases on SPV. In 1995 he founded his own Label “Neue Welten“ based in Celle, Germany. In 1996 he moved to Berlin where he began to fully focus on music. His productions and co-productions (e.g. as “Schneider & Radecki“ with Sammy Dee) always sounded sort of minimal, but were also exceptionally functional as he dared to stick his head out of his soundlab at an early stage. This together with the experiences from various live performances helped to perfect his tracks. Guedo was the headline act in November 2007 for one of the many succesfuly Global Breakthrough Festival Events which took place in CPT & JHB where he we played alongside a host of South Africa’s top DJ’s in the genre.
