Radio Slave - 2007 LIVE Mix

With a regiment of rigorous field testing it has been determined that this mix from Radio Slave is one of the best soundtracks for snowblowing. With each powdery pass back and forth the slow grooving house/tech beats and haunting vocals hypnotizes you to the point on not even feeling the snow that sneaks into the tops of your boots. This mix totally reminds me of an old mix from back in '99 from William Orbit - moody and dark in spots but not overly depressing as there are definite bright spots where you just gotta wiggle your ass. I slept on this mix for so long as I kept thinking of Audio Slave (the now defunct Rage against the Machine & Soundgarden remnant band). So saddle up and get ready to ride with Radio Slave.

Wow! Not that it needed any further cred but the electro-tech-house sound gets another vote of confidence. Ben Watt (ETBTG) who has been a steadfast deep house pusher for years (and a great one at that); drops this electro tinged set along side the decidedly tech Buzzin Fly v3 mixCD. But really who cares about what genre is what - (well I do) - this is a a great mix worthy of your ears.

Phil Thompson - Double Pack Mix (HTML→MP3)

Bedrocker Phil Thompson throws together a stomping 2 piece set of mixed up house, tech-house, club and other tracks. This is available through his .Mac account (which does not have unlimited bandwidth so I would grab it quickly!). The files are .zipped up so you have to download them and unzip them but if you are looking for some chugging 4x4 beats it is well worth the effort.
