Bastard Ninji - This is ... the fuckin' hardcore (HTML→MP3)
The folks over on the Ninja Tune Msg Boards put together a Frankenmix of all of their favorite Hardcore tunes from back in the day and not so far back in the day. Usually these collab mixes lose the plot and suck in their varied approach. But with hardcore being a multi-faceted beast this mix works as a perfect primer of all of the angles (drillcore, ravey hardcore, industrial hardcore, noisecore). Though "happy" hardcore was not invited to the party (thank god!). So strap on your N2O gas mask and get ready to freak the fuck out to some good ole HARDCORE!
Genres: hardcore, more hardcore, noisecore, old school, rave, techno
DJ DB - The Prettiest Breakbeat (MP3)
For all of you new-jacks who are getting loose with "neu-rave" on your iPizzy. Check out this "OG rave" mix circa 1992 from one of NYC's hardest working DJs - DJ DB. You might have heard of DB from his famed US DnB store Breakbeat Science or from his recent DnB mix CDs. But that is just a small slice of DBs prowess. He has been in the game since WAAAAAY back in the day. And this mixset is a great example of DB's sound back in the NASA days. Unlike most Old School mixes this is not just a collection of 140+ bpm CDs cut mixed together. Witness the sounds behind rave and the birth of drumandbass.
Genres: darkcore, hardcore, jungle, old school, rave

Fexomat connects the dots between breakcore and hardcore metal. Taking the already aggro sound of breakcore and pissing it off by trying to mash-up Britney Spears into it only fuels the flame. Woo boy now you made it REALLY ANGRY! The sinister beats just seem to multiply! By the end of this mix you might be dead but doesn't that make it all the more enticing?
Genres: breakcore, deathmetal, grindcore, hardcore, mash-up, metal, rock

Dieselboy - True Playaz at FabricUK (MP3)
Snarling bass lines extend their claws and pull you into the darkness. For real, Dieselboy is one of the most sweepingly epic DnB jocks out there. His early jungle tapes can be credited with popularizing jungle on the East Coast of the US. And with this recent set over at Fabric in the UK he definitely reps the US to the fullest. More Fire, more fire!
Genres: dnb, hardcore, jungle, techstep
