Ginz - Data Transmission no 59 (MP3)
The Purple Wow Sound? Okay I love sub-sub-micro-genres as much as anybody but is this for real? Take a click and listen.... I'll wait for you to scope out the first track on this mix. WTF is that? X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X That is the PURPLE WOW SOUND, MAN! ok I'm hooked. Ginz originally from the US has moved to Bristol UK to get his sound out there in the burgeoning dubstep scene. Kind of like a UK DJ Screw crossed with a bit of the edgier fwd thinking dubstep. Really off-kilter beats combined with huge keyboard stabs and sloppy bass line madness. Sheesh... Oh yeah and BIG UP Ben G at Data Transmission for keeping the quality blends flowing!
Genres: dubstep, freak out, funk, purple wow sound

The New Work Mix of Dev 79 (MP3)

Keep an eye on this kid and his labelmate Matty G - they are repping the US to the fullest in the UK-centric dubstep world. Lovin The New Work and all of the great mixes that they make available - def bookmark the source site for more quality blends.

Diplo vs. SantoGold - Top Ranking (HTML→MP3)
This is kinda like - Piracy funds Terrorism volume 2. Rather than MIA (who is no longer workin' Diplo's microphone) this time out SantoGold hops on board. If you really dig it you can buy a CD version (check the source site link). Tons of styles and oodles of yet to be released Santo remixes crop up in this banging summertime mixtape.
Genres: classic cuts, club, dance tracks, dancehall, dirty south, dubstep, reggae
Joker 30 min Mix on Skream's Radio show (Other File Share Svc)
A 30 min peek into the crates of The Joker. One of the UK heavyweight bassline thumpers in the dubstep/rnb scene. This one was put together for Skream's radio show and has been causing a stir in the chat rooms online since it originally played on air. While the lack of a direct link kinda sucks - it is worth the downloading for some STORMING bassline madness to keep your head tight.
Genres: bassline, dubstep, grime

Pharaoh - Salvation Army Podcast Apr 08 (MP3)

Genres: bass, bassline, breakcore, crunk, dubstep

Grimelock presents BDubs Vol 2 (MP3)
Leading the way for their new label Stainage - the Brussels based Grimelock crew drops this thick n syrupy bassline enriched mixtape featuring Stainage artists and upcoming releases. Ranging from local grime MC tracks to straight fwd dubstep nodders this mix has a wide range. Dunno what it is but there is a definite Grimelock "sound" that differs from the dubstep/grime norm - with some tracks bringing in more melody and trance-like organ stabs alongside the defacto hefty basslines. Keep it locked!
Self Love - Arts of Arkness (HTML→MP3)
Randomly sent in mix from DJ Self Love. Wicked! Such a fresh mix n blend of vocal samples, classic reggae riddims and vocals, hot dubstep basslines and more (and by more I mean Elton John, Culture Club, MC Lyte). This is some head-nodding smoke out fodder - I've got my own 8 inch paper baseball bat twisted up and ready to go Fiyah! Not a direct to MP3 link on this one - but the tracklist is totally worth checking out before you download it, strap on the headphones and bliss out.
Genres: blends, dub, dubstep, hip-hop, reggae
