Dj Craze the former DMC World Champ has taken a very different path than other DMC champs. While others seem to concentrate on the turntablist world and release a few beats and breaks records - Craze on the other hand totally broke with the turntablist "code" of only mixing up hip-hop and started adding dnb, breaks, house and more into his sets. With this mix Craze heads back to his homeland of Miami, Fla with a deep retrospective on the sound of the south before it was the "dirty dirty". This mix comes from Philly DJ & '05 Laptop Battle Champion Starkey. And man it is a killer! A caliginous blend of dubstep, breakcore, spook-step and more. If you yearn for the good ole darkcore days back in 92 this will come as a pleasant return to the moody darkness of yesteryear. You can spend days trying to aurally dissect the different layers of sounds. The purists might bitch about laptop DJing not being "real" but Starkey douses the haters with some insane blends that would be impossible without a laptop.
