I play a bit of electronica tinged hip hop and speak a bit of Japanese so it was pretty appropriate to get to support my hero, DJ Krush! At my wedding in February, we walked down the aisle to Dj Krush’s “Final Home” (the piano mix) too so it made it pretty poetic, sorta, too. Poor Krush was a bit stunned because his support rocked up, was a girl, spoke Japanese and told him enthusiastically about getting hitched to one of his songs, (in Japanese). He was bewildered but stoked. When one of the turntables buggered out, he was cool enough to let me use one of his for the remainder of the set too. After my set, he said my tunes were great, high-fived me and clapped me in front of the crowd.
