Leighton Moody - Soul Revolution (MISC)
With musical influences deeply rooted in his parents’ collection of jazz, soul and gospel; and with his grandfather being a jazz musician, Durban-born Leighton Moody’s natural progression to deep, soulful house sounds is easily understood. It was this unique style that ensured his warm reception in the premier nightclubs, lounges and groove bars of Cape Town where he moved to in 1996. It was a mutual love affair and the Mother City became Leighton’s new home. A fortuitous meeting with Erefaan Pearce (77Soul) and Cassiem Latief (Syndicate Records), two other budding DJs who shared a common taste for deep house, cemented the bond. The vinyl bug bit and Leighton’s passion for DJing grew accordingly. Just a few months later he played his first gig at Baraza Groove Bar on the spectacular Camps Bay strip. This was swiftly followed by becoming promoter and resident for the enormously popular "Sunset Sessions" where deep, soulful house grooves provided the soundtrack to breathtaking sunsets overlooking the sun-kissed ocean... and so his journey began... Leighton has since shared the stage with the worlds finest such as Dennis Ferrer,Dj Spen,Jojo Flores,Harley & Muscle,Ame,Henrik Schwartz,Luciano,Dj Green Lantern & Ready D.. 13 track mix, all zipped up and ready for you!

Guido Schneider - Global Breakthrough - Africa Radio Mix (MP3)
Poker Flat Recordings’ brightest rising star, Guido Schneider has been producing electronic music since the early 90’s. Strongly influenced by “EBM“ he started his first project with a friend in 1991 with releases on SPV. In 1995 he founded his own Label “Neue Welten“ based in Celle, Germany. In 1996 he moved to Berlin where he began to fully focus on music. His productions and co-productions (e.g. as “Schneider & Radecki“ with Sammy Dee) always sounded sort of minimal, but were also exceptionally functional as he dared to stick his head out of his soundlab at an early stage. This together with the experiences from various live performances helped to perfect his tracks. Guedo was the headline act in November 2007 for one of the many succesfuly Global Breakthrough Festival Events which took place in CPT & JHB where he we played alongside a host of South Africa’s top DJ’s in the genre. Here is the Global Breakthrough promotional radio mix, which Guido put together - enjoy this one!
