[FKL] Vidda Vein - Something in the Air (MP3)
Foundation KL, I have been searching high and low to bring you some fresh blood from deep in the Underground. Vidda Vein hails from the Beaches of Florida and has evolved from the vinyl-slinging, warehouse-rave days of the 1990s into a Digital Dynamo pioneering everything from drum n’ bass, to breaks, to house and various sundry bleeps, blips and bass squelches that make the body quiver with excitement. “Something in the Air” is a sample of his diverse music catalogue and focuses on the indie dance music and electro house styles. Featuring some of the most cutting edge producers of our present time such as Le Castle Vania, T2, Digitalism and Coburn, “Something in the Air” is an aural aphrodisiac designed to seduce you onto the dirty, grimy, sticky floor. Can you find the “V for Vendetta” sample? Vidda Vein is new to FoundationKL, and presented here exclusively for you, so give him a warm welcome! [FKL] No.4 on FoundationKL - Buried Beneath The Plastic Sheen (MP3)
Virulent Seduction When my fellow FKL editor Raj, aka No. 4, aka Static Itch decides to do a mix, I never know what to expect, but I always know that it will challenge my sense of musical programming, and inspire with the coscienceness of his track selection. “Buried Beneath the Plastic Sheen” plays like a mixtape and has the feel of a soundtrack… And in the same way, it will imbue whatever you’re doing while listening to it with that sense of surreal intensity that only a great soundtrack can. It starts off meditative with Jim Johnston’s interpretation of The Undertaker, winds through the mind with Massive Attack and Bong Ra, and suddenly you realize it’s too late as the aural trip nectar drives through your senses with Marco Beltrami vs. Marilyn Manson! The pathway of the programming is cutting and hypnotic, all at once sharp and sensual, as it goes from the blazing brain-bleeding bass of IDM to down-tempo groovin’. Take a listen and enjoy the ride! FoundationKL presents: No. 4 - Buried Beneath The Plastic Sheen Tracklisting 1. Jim Johnston - The Undertaker 2. Massive Attack – Karmacoma [Portishead Experience] 3. Bong Ra – Woody Strode 4. Marco Beltrami & Marilyn Manson – Seizure Of Power 5. The Vanishing – Still Life [Hanin Elias Remix] 6. Atari Teenage Riot – Midijunkies 7. Ambassador21 – Light My Fire 8. Converge – First Light 9. GB1 Sundrops Sessions 11.1 - DJ Möet on FKL (MP3)
FKL Ambassador, Pascal Dupuy a.k.a DJ Moet a.k.a Big Daddy Blue Dragon has got quite a treat for us this week. Not one but TWO reinvigorating, sharp as obsidian razorblades mixes, that’s not only the perfect way to start the week with, it’s also happens to be superbly awesome! Hour 1 sucks you in with the almost hypnotic combo of the Chem Bros and Regurgitator before 30hz and Yolanda rips your face off with the woofer abusing Daddido. Our mixologist then continues his brilliant cuts in and out of some truly anthemic tunes, with the likes of Drumattic Twins and Far Too Loud amongst others. Then we got Hour 2. I really don’t want to give away too much. All I can say is, be prepared for the fluid rich aural orgasms from the likes of Steve Lawler, Paradox 3000, Deekline and many more. A perfect blend of beats, bass and booyah!

Funk La Sapien - DJ Möet on FoundationKL (MP3)
A nice positive mix from the sunshine empire’s embassador, Pascal Dupuy. This pleasant spread proclaims a breaks / house sound comprised of some of the most tasty vinyl pieces from the American continent. I mean, where are you ever going to find “Activate” by the Goodfellas? or “Temptations” - C-Vaughn & J-Virtue? And where are you gonna find such a natural flow like Pascal’s?
