HipGnosis returns this week after a six month hiatus, making his third appearance on ABL:Radio. You may remember his previous mixes Late Night and Rarefied Splendor for their mysterious blends of experimental hip-hop beats and IDM. This week's mix continues on that solid tradition and will not leave you disappointed. If you enjoy this mix, you should check out HipGnosis's EP which will be released by http://elpamusic.lv/ in the next few weeks.

ABL:Radio - Fast Fusion - Mixed by Marquee69 (MP3)
Apologies for the delay posting this week. This episode was available on the RSS feed much earlier (go subscribe!) Our special guest this week is Marquee69, a Brooklyn resident. As you know by now, we like to change it up once in a while, this episode is one of those cases. The styles on this mix are multifaceted and synergetic, in essence, it works well. A fan of WARP Records artists would welcome what we have for you this week. For a better description we can refer to Marquee's own promo copy: Favoring unexpected guitar riffs and bass lines, his creativity is a welcomed change from the current musical environment. Combining the best of Trip Hop, Acid Punk, Drum & Bass and Reggae, attempting to compare him to any artist is difficult if not impossible. From the streets of London, Miami, and New York, Marquee69’s music is as rich and diverse as the cultures he’s experienced. Hearing him jump from a distorted piano to a rich bass to a soft jazz high-hat is a melodic rollercoaster; you’re constantly twisted in unanticipated directions. Gritty, melodious, raw, and refined Marquee69’s music is a series of contradictions brilliantly blended into a style that is all his own; BANGING! Raw, rebellious energy of Punk, bouncy and infectious beats of Dancehall Reggae, ultra modern sounds of Hip Hop and Garage, with a bit of something you’ve never heard before. It comes together all its own.
Genres: acid punk, dnb, drum n bass, idm, reggae, trip hop

ABL:Radio - Remember November - Mixed by Unjust (MP3)
For your Post-Turkey Day recovery, we present to you the return of Unjust to ABL:Radio. Regular listeners will remember her marvelous mix, "Liminal," she did for us back in September. On this week's episode we're taken on another voyage to Technolandia with a healthy focus on early the 90's sound with flourishes of IDM. This mix is in no manner dated, on the contrary, the selections are eternal classics baked together with Unjust's masterful sense of the genre. If your interested in hearing Unjust out in the wild, keep your eyes peeled, she's frequently playing around town. Also, you're likely to run into her on the floor as I did at the Luke Vibert party last week in Bushwick's 3rd Ward event space.
Genres: electro, idm, minimal, techno

ABL:Radio - The Dog and Pony Show - Mixed by Tal (MP3)
The Dog and Pony Show is a new project from the dj who brought you East Village Radio's infamous Electro Beef. This mix is the first episode of the show which, although it has a new name, still keeps the wild style of his previous mixes, dropping whatever fits the moment from Wagon Christ to Throbbing Gristle. Since we don't know when to expect the next episode from Dog and Pony (maybe after his Tel-Aviv tour?) this is a real treat. Drop him a comment here or check out the archives on electrobeef.com to make sure the Dog and Pony Show comes through again.

ABL:Radio - Liminal - Mixed by Unjust (MP3)
If you've enjoyed Adam's episodes on ABL:Radio you're in for a real treat this week. This week we are taking you on a trek through minimal techno land with our special guest Unjust in command. She comes from South Florida, land of palm trees and sunshine, where her musical taste was influenced by freestyle, bass, Miami-grown idm, and techno. Albums that were the turning point for her were Artificial Intelligence and Meat Beat's Satyricon. Since then she has always tried to bring something different to the mix and is certainly not a purist. Throwing minimal techno parties in Miami and playing bass at the Bunker in New York are her ways of keeping it real.
