Radzy and I were listening to this mix over the weekend, and we were very pleasantly suprised at the level of innovation that many of our artists have been rising rapidly towards. No.4's one of our artists that's really got to get credit for it though. This particular mix, opening with some Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, flows into a wonderfully introspective dubstep sound blending in and out of some beautiful lyricism and delicate mixing. Featuring dubstep sub-riders Loefah, Roll Deep, and some really unconventional blends into Switchblade Symphony and Trentemoller; this mix really highlights the hard work that No.4 has been putting in developing his signature aurally-philosophical sound. A masterpiece. F**k. What a great way to start the year. DEAR MR BLENTWELL CHECK THIS OUT [FKL] No. 4 - Risque (HTML→MP3)
For all you generalists out there, I promise you, IDM was the only smothering label I could come up with to describe this excellent mix. No. 4 has truly delivered the goods. Featuring a motley list of seemingly contradicting elements. From the bonsai-melodies of Sia, the haunting vacuum of Sigur Ros, and even a crafty remix from Coil and Danny Hyde. Intelligent - thats all I really know how to describe it: No. 4 - Risque -tracklisting- 01. Sia - Numb 02. Skream - I (Loefah remix) 03. Jean Jacques Perrey & Luke Vibert - Moog Acid (Plastician remix) 04. Dizzee Rascal - I Luv U 05. Lady Sovereign - Tango 06. Vex’d – Angels 07. Nine Inch Nails – Gave Up (Coil & Danny Hyde remix) 08. [FKL] Pascal Dupuy - Sundrops Session Vol 6. (HTML→MP3)
Pascal Dupuy aka DJ Moet, representing a diverse range of deep sounds, hails from Florda’s underground dance movement armed with confident deck technique and a massive personality. The ONLY DJ so far on FKL who has had the guts to belt down a microphone, and do it well; RESPECT. Featuring the gliding sounds of Calibre, Junior Cartel, and featuring a touch of jumps and heavy stepping with AK 1200 in the later mix. A tight blend of what can be decribed as soulfully calculated liquid drum and bass (like Marcus Intalex with a touch of Frankie Knuckles‘ dancefloor spirtuality!) this is one mix we are VERY happy to host. Lush: Pascal Dupuy - Sundrop Vol 6 - Session 1 -tracklisting- 1. “Deep Everything” - Calibre 2. “Can’t Stop” - Matrix & Danny J. 3. “That Night” - Jazzanova 4. “Visionary Dreamer” - Junior Cartel 5. “Forever” - ILS Logic & RAF 6. “Lost in Music” - Jenna G. (TCI & Stress Level) 7. “Winslice” - Chris J. & Cable (Blame Remix) 8. “Insatiable” - Chino 9. “Soulick” - Syncopix vs. M. [FKL][LOOPS] Fickle HZ, Chi-Pulp, Radzy, Anowl b2b Mac - Liquid Jump Up @ Muse (June) (HTML→MP3)
Wow. The vibe was there. The mix was there. We were there. And we have decided that the party was sick. A hefty night felted up with some smooth liquid atmospherics from Chi-pulp and Fickle HZ. Sadly, the MD-recorder crapped out with the batteries until thesuperglo could arrive with the power adapter. BUT we still had the recordings and we patched up whatever we could. Sorry Fickle and Chi-pulp! Maybe next gig we can get a FULL recording! With the MD-recorder back in action, we then started a close-to 1 hour recording of Radzy, who dashes in with some solid jump-up action and winding it crazy with some raggastep and oldschool breakdowns. The gigantic recording ends with a grinding and powerful set from Anowl and Mac who never fail to get a crowd jumping and some bass smiting. MC Reza plays MC for the whole night with some nice shoutouts to FKL.

[FKL][BONGO!] Tubby, Adventures of Cutman, and DJ Six - Live @ Bongolia (June) (HTML→MP3)
We had such a blast at our Bongolia party at The Loft last week that we thought the cops would bust us and lock us up for having too much fun. Okay well maybe we were just a little bit drunk. It's all there from Tubby's power-packed opener to The Adventures of Cutman's brilliant breakbeat mash-ups to a typically deep and rollin' set from DJ Six A fair warning, though: don't turn the volume up too loud because the sound levels tend to max out from time to time.

[FKL] Blastique - How Does It Fly? (MP3)
It’s always a good thing when I get a mix from the sublime Blastique, his mixes have given current breaks DJ’s a run for their money. Maybe its the infusion between the electro grind and durty fat kicks, or that tracks are accurately mixed in key, or maybe because he’s got a tracklist to die for. Whatever it is, this mix has been sitting in my box for a few months now - and only recently has he managed to dig out a tracklist for me (and you!) Featuring some of my personal favorites: Trentmoller, Chris Micali, Superpitcher (J-Regrette!) and a tonne of other supersick tracks! Joy: 1. Trentemoller - Always Something Better (Trentemoller Mix) 2. Cisco Ferreira - Pagodas (Adam Beyer Remix) 3. Quivver - Not Givin Up feat. Niki Mak 4. Rui Da Silva - Dance.come.feel.exe 5. Luke Chable - I Don’t Know 6. Sissy - So Long (Mashtronic Vocal Mix) 7. MFA - Overhang 8. Luke Chable & Shiloh - Sentrino 9. High Caliber - Bring It To Me 10. Adam Proll - Fetch My Blades 11. Opencloud - Never 12. Di Paul - In Your Soul (Thomas Penton Mix) 13. Jerome Isma-Ae - Stars In Your Head 14. Di Paul - In Your Soul (Thomas Penton Mix) 15. Rio Rhythm Band - Carnival Da Casa (Christian J Mix) 16. Matt Darey - Eternity feat. Izzy (Introspective Mix) 17. General Midi - Never Gonna Stop The Show (General Midi’s Club Mix) 18.
